Thinking of opening a bar or nightclub? It’s not a bad idea; a nightclub can be very profitable. Just have a look at Scribd’s list of Top 100 Nightclubs & Bars of 2012. You’ll see that the top clubs earned total revenues up to $60-80 million for the year. Even the lower-level listings pulled in at least $5-10 million for the year. Miami is fairly well represented on that list, being a vacation destination.
But opening a new club is expensive, as well. According to an Entrepreneur.com article, costs can vary wildly: “We spoke with one entrepreneur in California who spent $25,000 taking over someone else’s bar business. Another bar owner in Florida spent several million dollars starting his club (and he didn’t even build the building!)”
So, if you want to hang on to your reserves for promoting your bar once it’s open, how do you get a quality establishment up and running for the least amount? Purchase your bar and nightclub equipment at auction.
South Florida’s Lauro Auctioneers has been in business over 20 years, serving an international clientele from our base in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We routinely auction not only bar and restaurant equipment, but whole establishments, including furnishings, decorations, and barware. Our licensed business and real-estate brokers can even sell ongoing businesses.
We’ve sold numerous establishments, including a 175-seat restaurant and bar in Plantation, Florida. In another auction, a bidder won the entire bar furniture package of a 191-seat restaurant and bar in Pembroke Pines, Florida. And a beautiful indoor-outdoor Greek restaurant and bar in Coral Springs, Florida, was recently auctioned for a price that was satisfactory to both the buyer and seller. In fact, all three of these auctions took place in April and May of 2013. So you see, we have been very busy.
But we’re never too busy to talk to a new client or old friend. If you are looking to buy, or have equipment to sell in South Florida, come to the auctioneers who get results: Lauro Auctioneers.
